First, this is the franchise's debut on Nintendo's new hardware, and there is no original Switch version — Switch 2 only. Second, 2K has not announced last-gen PS4 or Xbox One versions. After years of split-generation releases, 2K27 looks like a clean current-gen lineup.

• Shooting mechanics. 2K26 shipped with rhythm shooting and multiple timing profiles. We expect 2K27 to iterate on that system rather than replace it, but 2K has not detailed green windows, timing options, or shot feedback yet.
• Badges and takeovers. No badge list, tier structure, or progression details have been published. If 2K follows the 2K26 pattern, expect seasonal badge tuning — but that is expectation, not fact.
• MyPLAYER builder. No attribute caps, archetype details, or build economy specifics yet.
• The City and Park layout. Marketing copy confirms The City, the REC, and Park return, but layouts and event structures are unknown.
• Switch 2 performance. No frame rate or resolution targets have been published for the Switch 2 version.
• Season 1 content. Structure, rewards, and start dates beyond launch week are unannounced.
